Infrastructure Investment in Q1 Approaches Nearly 450 Billion Yuan


According to the data compiled by Su Tang Technology’s “Infrastructure Communication” big data platform (cnsuido01), during the first quarter of 2024 (January to March), approximately 40 major railway, highway, urban rail transit, and airport projects with an investment exceeding 500 million yuan each received approvals from various authorities, including the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Department of Ecology and Environment, provincial-level Development and Reform Commissions/Transportation Departments, and municipal-level Development and Reform Bureaus/Transportation Bureaus. The approval process covered aspects such as feasibility studies, preliminary designs, construction drawings, project land acquisition, project approvals, and environmental impact assessments. The total investment for these projects is estimated to be nearly 450 billion yuan.


Industrial Equipment Investment Expected to Grow by 25% by 2027

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, People’s Bank of China, State Taxation Administration, State Administration for Market Regulation, and China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission recently jointly issued the “Implementation Plan for Promoting Equipment Renewal in the Industrial Sector.” The plan proposes that by 2027, the investment scale in industrial equipment should grow by more than 25% compared to 2023.


Domestic Excavator Sales Surge by 9.27% in March

According to statistics from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, in March 2024, sales of various types of excavators totaled 24,980 units, representing a 2.34% year-on-year decline. Among these, 15,188 units were sold domestically, showing a 9.27% year-on-year growth, while 9,792 units were exported, experiencing a 16.2% year-on-year decrease.
