CME Forecast: June Excavator Sales to Continue Growth
According to CME's latest forecast, excavator sales in June 2024 are expected to reach around 16,000 units, representing a year-on-year increase of approximately 1.5%. Domestic sales are projected to reach 7,300 units, surging nearly 20% compared to the same period last year. Export sales, on the other hand, are estimated to decline by around 10% to 8,700 units.
Internal Combustion Engine Sales Increase 4.91% Year-on-Year in January-May
According to statistics and analysis from the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, internal combustion engine sales reached 3.7004 million units in May 2024, a decrease of 7.07% from the previous month but a year-on-year increase of 0.06%. For the period from January to May, the cumulative sales of internal combustion engines reached 18.5994 million units, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.91%.
Total Investment in Major Railway, Highway, and Airport Projects Exceeds RMB 350 Billion in May
According to statistics from Suitan Technology's Infrastructure Big Data (cnsuido01), approximately 30 major railway, highway, and airport projects with an investment of more than RMB 500 million each were approved in May 2024 by the National Railway Group, provincial and municipal development and reform commissions/transportation bureaus/government websites, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. The approvals covered project feasibility study reports, project approvals, construction land acquisition, preliminary designs, and construction drawings. The total investment in these projects exceeded RMB 350 billion. Among them, railway projects accounted for approximately RMB 151 billion, highway projects for approximately RMB 196 billion, and airport projects for approximately RMB 30 billion.
