1. The European Union (EU) has imposed temporary anti-dumping duties on aerial work platforms (AWPs) imported from China, at rates ranging from 23.6% to 56.1%.
This decision follows an anti-dumping investigation initiated by the EU in November 2023. The temporary duties are intended to protect EU producers from dumped imports of AWPs from China. They apply to mobile AWPs with a maximum height of 6 meters or more, as well as to parts that are pre-assembled or ready for assembly. The duties do not apply to individual components or to vehicle-mounted personnel lifts.
2. CCTV Finance Excavator Index: Utilization Rates of Various Construction Machinery Remain High in May

3. Excavator Domestic Sales Achieve Year-on-Year Growth for Three Consecutive Months
Data released by the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) shows that according to statistics from major excavator manufacturers, 8,518 excavators of various types were sold domestically in May 2024, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%. Following a long-awaited year-on-year increase of 9.27% in March and a 13.3% year-on-year increase in April, domestic excavator sales have achieved three consecutive months of year-on-year growth.
